How to Cook Oatmeal

It’s a snap to cook oatmeal in a slow cooker. Simply place the ingredients inside the cooker before bed time, and you’ll wake up to a hearty breakfast. You can learn how to cook oatmeal using either rolled oats or steel cut oats.

This is how to cook oatmeal

You will need the following ingredients:
- 2 cups steel cut oats
- 5 cups water
- ¼ cup maple syrup
- 1 cup apple cider (or apple juice)
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon salt

Place all ingredients into the slow cooker and stir. Replace the lid, and cook on low setting for 6 to 7 hours. Top with brown sugar and milk, if desired.
