This is how to cook artichokes

Begin by rinsing the artichoke in cold water and using kitchen scissors to clip the end point off of each leaf. Place the artichokes into a pan of cold, lightly salted water deep enough to cover the whole artichoke.

Place over medium heat on the stove and let cook. Bring to a boil and let cook for ten minutes. Check the artichoke by pulling off one leaf and checking just the end meat of the leaf for softness. If it is soft to the teeth then it is ready.

The easiest, and most flavorful, way to cook beats is to roast them. Preheat your oven to 350 and start preparing your beets. Wash them well, then chop off the greens and tips. Toss them with a few tablespoons of olive oil and a little salt, then place them in a foil covered baking sheet. Cover the top completely with foil and seal it shut. Let them cook for about two hours, or until you can easily pierce the skin with a fork. Once their done, the skin will peel off very easily and they will be ready for you to put in a salad, serve with a soft, mild cheese or even eat alone.

This is how to cook an artichoke

Begin by cutting stem off to less than one inch and slicing an inch or so off the top. Rinse under cold water and place in a steaming basket situated in a pot holding a few inches of water, garlic clove, bay leaf, and a slice of lemon. Cover, bring to a boil, lower heat, and simmer until outer leaves can be pulled off easily (25-45 minutes). You can also wrap in wax paper and cook on HI in microwave for five minutes. When cool enough to handle, spread the leaves and remove fuzzy choke with a spoon.

How to Cook Bok Choy

Instructions for how to cook bok choy are simple. It is important to note, however, that bok choy is rarely cooked alone. Bok choy is commonly used as a 'filler' food in stir-fry and other oriental dishes.

This is how to cook bok choy

Separate and wash the leaves. Trim off the tough base, and cut the white stem away from the green leaf. Chop the stems or slice them thin. Slice the leaves into strips.

For every 4 cups of chopped bok choy, use 1/2 teaspoon of sesame oil. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the stems and saute for two or three minutes, then add the leafy parts and cook about one minute longer.

How to Cook Artichoke

Learning how to cook artichoke is easy whether boiled or baked. Simply core to the artichoke heart and marinate. Italians love artichokes whole with tomato sauce and Parmesan or mozzarella stuffing. Many people simply wash and boil the artichoke whole until the leaves soften and then dip them in melted butter. Artichokes themselves are a low cholesterol food. For the health conscious, it's all about what you eat with the artichoke. There are also many exciting ways to learn how to cook artichoke. I've included my favorite below. It's called Artichoke Le Bleu.

This is how to cook artichoke

You will need the following ingredients:
- 4 to 6 artichokes, stems removed, top crown snipped, boiled until tender
- 1 1/2 cups shredded blue cheese
- 1/2 cup crispy bacon bits
- 1/4 cup blue cheese salad dressing to blend

Lemon Sauce
- 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
- 1/4 melted butter
- 1/8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
